Week 7 NFC East Preview: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Washington Redskins

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Washington Redskins

Washington, we have a problem!  The Good: The Washington Redskins are competitive, and the defense is ranked 8th in the NFL.  The Bad:  The Redskins’ Offense is ranked # 25 with 337 yards per game.  The Ugly:  Kirk Cousins’ play.  Cousins’ stats for 2015:  151-228  1,420 yds  6 Td’s 8 Int’s.  Stats aren’t so bad, but Cousins’ play is.  He has single handedly thrown away 4 games.  Last week’s 2 interception game against the Jets, and the pick 6 to lose the game at Atlanta have solidified Cousins’ status as a NFL starting QB…… NOT WORTHY!

The Washington Redskins can play with anybody.   The Redskins have been without their top secondary players, and they have been without their top playmaker on offense; yet, they have been in every game.  The Skins will need to protect the ball, and move it on the ground to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Tampa Bay is 2-3, and coming off of a bye week.  The Bucs came from behind to win their last game against in state rival Jacksonville Jaguars.  Doug Martin is a big time running back, and rookie Jameis Winston is starting to show signs of life.  Right now, he is not as good as Kirk Cousins, so the Bucs have real problems.  Tampa is built around Lovie Smith’s defense, and right now, they are the 4th best defense in the NFL.  The Bucs defense and Kirk Cousins makes this a pretty even game.  If Jameis Winston has a good day, the Redskins are toast.  Winston is on the road, and the Redskins’ fans are some of the best in the world.
